The association exists to promote and protect the effectiveness of its member companies and their independent direct sellers in the best interests of the customer.

The DSAI strives to ensure all members maintain the highest level of business ethics and customer service, through a stringent consumer and business code of practice that underpins the professional image of direct selling.

An independent Code Administrator oversees these codes and the DSAI is a member of the Federation of European Direct Selling Associations which has adopted a common Code of Practice among all members of the European Union.
